Jdate is the largest Jewish dating site in the world with more than one hundred thousand unique visitors each month. JDate has the reputation of being the go-to site for Jewish singles and has been around pretty much since the beginning of online dating (and probably longer than you have been using the internet!).
It has an easy to use, smartly designed web site which has evolved and been refined over the course of many years. Jdate’s large number of members means a large number of potential dates in your area.
The “my matches” feature conveniently provided a good selection of potential dating partners. Active message boards and chat rooms make for a strong Jewish online community. Jdate’s dating profiles provide a good amount of information for you to make decisions on who you’d like to date. Jdate makes finding potential partners extremely easy with a variety of communication options.
Their secret admirer feature lets you discreetly rate other members on whether you’d like to go out with them and then if they want to go out with you the site lets you know.
Jdate also offers many offline singles events such as speed dating, cocktail parties, classes, wine and food tastings, theater, outdoor activities, trips and more. These offline events appear to be very popular, well attended and useful in meeting more potential matches face to face.
If you are looking for a single Jewish man or woman you would be crazy not to be on JDate.
Your Jewish mother knows about the site as well so telling her you are on it will make her very happy.
Of course every single Jew finds themselves on JDate at one point or another and there is good reason: it works! I was surprised to see there being some hookups going on through the site (went on some dates that didnt feel very "traditional") but for the most part people on JDate are there to find a life mate who shares the Jewish culture and religion. I say culture because I think the majority of members just want to maintain the same family upbringing they had, not engage in an orthodox or even conservative Jewish relationship. In other words: lot of reform Jews on JDate. Not a bad thing, just more a sign of the times. Anyways I digress. JDate is a really well laid out site and has great features and tons of Jewish members (which is kind of important). I would highly recommend it! Shabbat Shalom! (Its friday evening y'all)
JDate is a paid site.
