With a membership you get unlimited email access, control who can see your photos, remove ads and advanced searches. Credits can be used towards sending virtual gifts, remove ads, feature your profile and send emails.  

The site does offer a verify profile feature which is nice to know that you are talking to a real person and not a scammer. Many of the profiles were filled out and had at least one photo if not more.
